Rennow, twenty-three, senior at the University of Nevada and son of Mr. and Mrs. C.P. Rennow of Panaca, died Saturday evening at 7:30 o'clock at a local hospital following a gallant fight for life for two weeks. Death was due to an abcess of the brain and poisoning of the system due to the putting off of an operation needed for an infection to the middle ear until his condition became such that he had to rushed to the hospital for the surgical attention. Due to graduate in May and his great ambition to do so with high credits caused Rennow to put off the operation, he having announced that he would wait until after graduation and then go to the hospital. On January 26, he was stricken while on Mackey field and was carried to the university hospital, where he became unconscious and that evening was evening was moved to a local hospital and underwent an operation. He rallied the next day but two days later began to have sinking spells and while he made a determined fight to get well and graduate, his system could not throw off the poison and his death resulted. Lynne C. Rennow was a native son of Nevada. He was born at Panaca January 21, 1900 and graduated with high honors from the Lincoln county high school and entered the university the following year taking up electrical engineering. In the university he stood high in his studies, was a favorite among the students and was regarded as having a most promising future by his instructors and his death has caused a gloom to settle over the entire student body with whom he hed been actively associated for four years. His parents, who came to Reno when Lynne was taken to the hospital, left with the body last night for their home, where burial will take place. A students' escort headed by President Walter E. Clark of the university accompanied the body to the train, among them being most of the student of Lincoln hall, where Lynne made his home while at the university.
