PIOCHE PIONEER PASSES AWAY IN SAN FRANCISCO



    J. M. JONES, aged eighty-two years, a pioneer of Pioche and Candalaria, 

died Sunday in San Francisco and his son, T. Lacy JONES, left to attend the 

funeral.  Mr. JONES was born in New York City and served through the Civil 

War coming to Pioche in 1870 and remaining on the desert until a few years 

ago, when he left Tonopah to make his home with his daughter, Mrs. William 

HOGAN. - Reno Gazette
