Weekly Nevada State Journal June 24, 1876
Suicide at Silver.
J. B. Hill, manager for the Western Union Telegraph Company at Silver City,
committed suicide Thursday.  He took a heavy dose of morphine at 8 o'clock this
morning and died at 1:30 in the afternoon.  Deceased leaves a wife and child. 
No cause is assigned for this rash action.  Deceased formerly worked in the
telegraphy office here.
