                             Currant

A small farming district located on Currant Creek, in the northeastern 
part of Nye County, 130 miles northeast of Tonopah, the county seat, and 
60 miles southwest of Ely, the banking town and shipping point. Has a 
good flour mill in operation. Large quantities or [sic] fruit are raised
here.
