                             Duckwater

A small village near the northeastern boundary line of Nye County, 
125 miles northeast of Tonopah, the county seat, and 50 miles southeast
of Eureka, shipping station and nearest banking point. The village lies 
in a fine farming district on Duckwater Creek, and is an excellent 
wintering place for livestock. Stage communication with Hamilton, 
fare $1.50, with Eureka and Ely, fare $5.
