Rockstead, former shift boss for the Nevada Wonder mine at Wonder, died Thursday night at 10:30 at the Mines Operators hospital where he was taken, suffering from double pneumonia. His illness lasted only a few days. His daughter, Carmen, who was attending the University of Nevada arrived in time to be with her father the last few hours. Deceased was a comparative stranger in Tonopah having recently arrived here from the north. He was born in Pittsburg and belonged to one of the old pioneer families dating back to the days of the revolution. His wife, three children, including Miss Carmen, survive him. Since coming to Tonopah, he was employed at the Belmont mine. The funeral will take place Sunday afternoon.
