Jay HENDERSON, son of Mr. and Mrs. Jay HENDERSON of Tonopah, died at the 

Miners hospital in Tonopah last Sunday afternoon, following an operation for 

appendicitis.  The father, who is the oldest brother of our townsman, A. S. 

HENDERSON, is chief clerk in the store of the Mine-worker's Mercantile 

company and the family is one of the oldest in the camp.  The boy who was 

only nineteen years of age, was taken ill Thursday morning and rushed to the 

hospital for an operation.  He was one of the most popular youths in town 

and a leader in athletics.
