Pahrump Valley Times,    January 26, 2011
Kathy Lou Lavietes, 54, passed awat Jan 23, 2011, in Pahrump. 
She was born April 19, 1956, in Akron, Ohio, and lived in Pahrump for 45 
years, having moved from Ohio.
She was retired from Clark County as a Financial Office Specialist and she was 
lover of horses and all animals.
Surviving are her husband, whom she married in 1984, Joseph Paul Lavietes; 
children Austie Castro of San Diego, CA, and Katie Lavietes of Pahrump; 
brother Jeff Ellis of Oceanside, CA; and one grandchild.
She was preceded in death by her parents Bob and LaRue Ellis.
