She received her B.A. from Northwestern University of Iowa and her M.A. from the University of Illinois in library science. Sandra retired and had worked as a librarian in public schools, public libraries and her favorite job since graduation was inter-library loan librarian at the University of Nevada in Las Vegas. Having lived in Pahrump over 40 years, Sandra raised French Alpine dairy goats and was a lifetime member of the American Dairy Goat Association. During the 1970s, 80s and 90s Sandra was known as the “Goat Lady”, and loved to show her goats at goat shows, and had many Best in Show awards to show for her efforts. Her special interests included plants and flowers, inside and outside, going to yard sales and swap meets, looking for collectibles and to set up at the world-class swap meet at Quartzsite, Ariz., every year. Sandra was a little bit of heaven on earth, and will be missed by all who knew her.
