Pahrump Valley Times    Jan. 5, 2011
William "Rod" Thomas, 76, passed away Dec. 29, 2010, in Pahrump.
He was born Dec. 5, 1934, in Los Angeles, Calif. and was a resident of 
Paharump for over nine years, having come from Long Beach, Calif.
He served in the Army from 1958 to 1960 and was stationed in Alaska.
He was a retired crane operator and an avid motorcycle enthusiast and restored 
them as well.
He was a member of the Moose Lodge in Pahrump, and a member of the Masonic 
Lodge in Bellflower, Calif. He loved to play golf.
Surviving are his wife Betty Thomas of Pahrump; son Mark Andrew Thomas of 
Arizona; granddaughters Sarah Sartor and Leah Boyles, both of Aarizona; and 
four great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by sister Roberta Chavez and parents Laura and Will 
Thomas.  (12/29/2010)
