Dennis Daniel Zinda, passed Feb. 16, 2011, after a short illness.
He was born Sept. 13, 1940, in Sauk Rapids, Mich., to Alex and Ann Zinda.
Dennis was a police officer with the Saint Cloud, Minn., Police Department for 
over seven years, and served over 20 years of Distinguished Service with Las 
Vegas Metropolitan Police Department, where he retired as a detective in 1990.
He was an Air Force veteran and a member of the American Legion Post 55 in Las 
Vegas and Post 22 in Pahrump, as well as a board member of the Las Vegas 
Police Protection Association for 29 years.
Dennis resided in the Las Vegas area for over 33 years and in Pahrump for the 
last seven years.
He is survived by his wife Marlene Zinda of Pahrump; daughters Sandy Clary of 
Santa Barbara, Calif., and Brooke Padden of Satellite Beach, Fla.; son Brian 
Zinda of Los Angeles, Calif.; sister Phyllis Hennick of Little Falls, Minn.; 
four grandchildren and one great-grandchild.
Dennis will be interred at the Southern Nevada Veterans Memorial Cemetery in 
Boulder City. There will be no services. (02/16/2011)
