Death of a Nevada Pioneer
John Leggett, who has lived in Carson since its earliest days, died yesterday
morning at the Ormsby county hospital of general debility.  Deceased had long
been failing, though his demise was somewhat unexpected.  Old age and sickness
had attenuated his form to the semblance of a skeleton, and it is though the
chill morning air hastened his death.  Mr. Leggett was a native of Glasgow,
Scotland, and 64 years of age.
