Death of an Old Settler
Augustus Lewis, one of the early settlers of Carson City, died at that place
last Sunday evening, of heart disease, with which he had been troubled for many
years.  The deceased was born in Providence, Rhode Island, in 1826, and was in
his 58th year when he died, leaving a wife and three children, all girls, the
eldest being three and a half years old, and the twins not yet two years of age.
