Daily Nevada State Journal May 6, 1882
Hon. A. J. Lockwood, of Ormsby county, died in Carson yesterday morning.  Mr. L.
was a member of the Constitutional Convention that created Nevada a State, and
was elected to the first Legislature as Senator, worthily filling the position
in 1864, 1865 and 1866.  In 1870 deceased was elected to the lower house of the
Nevada Legislature, and in 1872 to the Senate, in which he served creditably to
himself and to the interest of the State in the sessions of 1873 and 1875
