Carson Resident Passes Divide
Mrs. Della Manthey Finally Succumbs to Siege of Illness
Carson, July 20—After nearly a year of illness, Mrs. Della S. Manthey, wife of
Herman Manthey of this city, passed away yesterday shortly after noon.  For the
past few days deceased lingered in a comatose state and although everything
possible was done to alleviate her suffering, all effects were in vain, and she
died while in an unconscious condition.
Mrs. Manthey, who was 39 years of age, came to this city in childhood and has
been here ever since.  Besides her husband and son, she leaves a father and
mother, Mr. and Mrs. A.P. Dority and a brother J.P. Dority of this city.  There
are also three sisters, Mrs. Thomas Brady of Mound House, Mrs. James Kane of
Minden, and Mrs. Garrison of Oakland.  The deceased was the district deputy
president of the local lodge of the Degree of Honor and was also a member of the
Rebekah lodge.
