Daily Nevada State Journal December 4, 1887
The funeral of Samuel Bennets, late President of The Gold Hill Miners’ Union,
took place in Gold Hill yesterday under the auspices of the Odd Fellows, Knights
of Pythias and the Miners’ Unions of Storey and Lyon counties, and was largely
attended notwithstanding the cold weather.
