Territorial Enterprise, March 27, 1894
Constable Bewick Dead.

George Bewick, late Constable of Gold Hill, died yesterday of miners'
consumption.  He leaves a widow and several children.  His burial will take
place on Wednesday afternoon and the funeral will be conducted under the
auspices of the Gold Hill Miners' Union.

(later in the same section in a section noted as "Funeral Notices"):

The members of the Gold Hill Miners' Union are elsewhere officially notified to
assemble at their hall tomorrow afternoon for the purpose of attending the
funeral of their late brother member George Bewick.
