Reno Evening Gazette August 9, 1887
On a Sad Journey

Thomas Crane, County Clerk of Storey county, accompanied by his father, passed
through Reno last evening for San Francisco.  While waiting her for the
west-bound train Mr. Crane received the sad intelligence that his sister, Miss
Mollie Harris, of Gold Hill, had died last evening about 5 o’clock.  Miss Harris
was a popular young lady, and who with her sister, went to the Bay a few days
ago in search of health.  The father, brother and sister with the corpse will
probably be up on to-morrow morning’s train en route to Gold Hill, where will
take place the funeral and burial.
