Ross, on the Divide, at an early hour this morning, after a lingering illness. Mrs. Gray, who has been a resident of the Comstock for over a third of a century, was the widow of the late Thomas Gray of Gold Hill, and a woman of most estimable qualities. In addition to her sister, Mrs. Ross, she leaves a sister, Mrs. George Emmett of Reno, and a niece, Reine, and nephew, Lieutenant Governor Gilbert C. Ross, of this city; also several nieces in Reno and Carson, Mrs. Mahlon Fairchild, Mrs. J.D. Torreyson, Mrs. Jack Butler, Mrs. Robert Turritin and Mrs. Hal Leaman. The funeral will take place on Saturday from St. Mary’s church at 2 o’clock and the interment will be private—Virginia Chronicle.
