Death of Michael Hatton.

   Michael Hatton, a well known resident of this city, died at his residence on 
Washington street Sunday morning about 5 o'clock of miners' consumption, from 
which he had been a sufferer for some time, though confined to his bed for only 
a few days.  Deceased was one of the early residents of this city, and was  
greatly esteemed by a large circle of friends.  He was a native of Ireland, aged 
61 years, and leaves a widow, a son, John, and two daughter, Miss Mamie and 
Mrs. Ralph Golding.  He was a member of the Virginia Miners' Union.  The 
funeral will be under the direction Undertaker Kuihn.
