Hughes, for Years a Miner at Virginia City, Passes Away Hugh J. Hughes, aged 48 years, a miner, and for years a resident of Nevada, died this morning at the home of his father, John J. Hughes. He was an uncle of City Clerk Parry. Mr. Hughes, who was of Welsh parentage, was born in Washington county, Vermont, but had lived practically all his life in Virginia City, Nev., where he was engaged in mining. Five years ago he came to Reno to make his home. He had been ill for several months. He is survived by his father and one sister, Mrs. R.W. Parry. The arrangements for the funeral have not been completed, but the services probably will be held Sunday or Monday. They will be private. April 5, 1913 Hughes- In Reno, April 4, 1913, Hugh J., son of John J. Hughes, brother of Mrs. R.W. Parry of Reno, a native of Wales, aged 48 years. Funeral services at the parlors of the Perkins-Gulling company tomorrow (Sunday, April 6) at 1 o'clock p.m. Services private. Rev. Mr. Trout officiating. Interment at Hillside cemetery.
