Ryan on B street, after an illness extending over many years. For several months she had been in a practically helpless condition, but through all the long affliction had borne her sufferings with remarkable fortitude. Mrs. Keig was a native of Peel, Isle of Man, and came to the Comstock in 1868, having made her home here continuously ever since. During her long residence in this city she had made hosts of friends, and was held in the highest regard and esteem by all, being a woman of fine traits of character which endeared her to all. Her life was that of the true Christian and one to be emulated. Deceased is survived by three daughters, Mrs. W.V. Ryan, Mrs. J.E. Toogood and Mrs. Hamilton, and a song, William Keig. She also leaves a brother, Robert Gracey of this city, and a sister, Mrs. Kate Watterson, of Bishop, Cal. The body will be taken to the Presbyterian church Tuesday afternoon at 2 o’clock and friends and acquaintances are invited to attend the services. Interment will be private—Virginia Chronicle.
