Death of Wm. Mooney

Wm. Mooney, the pioneer liveryman of Virginia City, died rather unexpectedly at
an early hour yesterday morning.  There are few men on the Comstock held in
higher esteem by the general people than was “old Bill Mooney,” whose purse
strings were always loosened when his financial assistance was asked for
charity’s sake.  The loss of his “helping hand” will long be felt.
