A Sudden Death
Last evenings Chronicle says: J. D. Reilly, a miner employed in the Gould &
Curry mine, died soon after coming off shift at 11 o’clock last night.  Deceased
had been complaining of a pain in the side while at work, but did not anticipate
any serious result therefrom.  Soon after reaching home he died.  His death is
attributed to overheating, coupled with disease of the heart.  Deceased was 37
years of age a member of the Miners Union and of Occidental Lodge No. 2,689,
Knights of Honor.  He leaves a wife and one child.
