The deceased was a son of Mr. and Mrs. John Stenson of this city. He was aged 23 years and was a native of San Francisco. He lived at Grass Valley before coming to Virginia City where he was employed by the Ophir for the past three years. An operation was planned in the attempt to save his life but after a consultation in which Dr. Mackenzie of Reno participated, it was found that it would but hasten his demise.
