Reno Evening Gazette February 6, 1881
Colonel L. W. Wood died at the pest-house in San Francisco Friday, of small pox,
at the age of 52 years.  Col. Wood was an old citizen of the State of Nevada. 
The Woodville mine was named in his honor.
