Died.

Hoffman- At Lemmon's, Nov. 17; John Hoffman, aged about 50 years.  Funeral on 

Friday at 2 p.m. from the M.E. Church.



A Fatal Accident

  John Hoffman, the driver of the Susanville stage, died yesterday afternoon 

at Lemmon's.  When the stage overturned yesterday morning it fell on hism, and 

his death was the result of the injuries than received.  The accident was 

caused by the fall of the off hors, dragging the other horse down with him and 

causing the coach to upset.  The passengers were not injured.  Hoffman leaves 

no family.
