His Task is Done.

  Walter Winn, one of California's pioneers, died at Walley's Hot Springs, 

Genoa, this morning.  Mr. Winn was one of the best known men on the Pacific 

Coast, and no one knew him but to love him. He was over 70, and has been at 

the Springs for over nine years.  Many a grizzled old 49er will bow his head 

in sorrow to hear that the blinding death shadow has fell aslant and darkened 

the happy smile of the good man.
