Brown buwbrown@comcast.net July 29, 2008, 2:44 pm Letter from Western Securities Company, dealers in Western mining stocks and properties; mining investment service; mining properties. 321 Byington Bldg., Reno, Nevada. Letter addressed to George E. Brunner, Rt. 1, Harrisburg, Penna. Dear Mr. Brunner: Since receiving your letter we have made a thorough investigation in order to find out something about Sierra Nevada Scorpion Coalition and are of the opinion that the stock possesses no quick cash value at this time. We understand that the company lost the property through litigation and, therefore, it is difficult to determine on a valuation for the stock. We think the best thing for you to do is trade it for a live issue and we can make you a proposition which we believe will be attractive. We will accept your 620 shares of the above mentioned stock as 25% payment on your purchase of 1,000 shares of Scossa Standard Gold Mines Ltd., at 10c a share, as described in the enclosed circular. Such would leave a balance of $75.00 which you could pay at the rate of $7.50 a month, the first payment of $7.50 to accompany the stock which you would trade in. We really feel that such would be an excellent deal for you to make as Scossa Standard Gold Mines Ltd., is a live up-to-the-minute organization, and it offers a chance for a man to get into a virgin gold camp which may develop into one of the real big mining camps of the west. We suggest that you look over the circular very carefully and then come in with us on a deal which we feel confident will make you money and will serve to get you out of what we consider is practically a dead issue. Trusting that we may have the pleasure of serving you, we remain... (signed) W.B. McCreary Additional Comments: Notation in pencil at top of letter, evidently written by Mr. Brunner: 620 shares at 1.00, Aug. 1929.
