Daily Nevada State Journal August 22, 1889
Death of an Old Pioneer

William Campbell, who came to this Coast from Louisville, Kentucky, in
September, 1849, died yesterday morning of typhoid pneumonia.  Mr. Campbell was
an odd character and well-known by every old-timer in this section.  He leaves
three daughters and a son.  The relatives took the remains below last evening
and will bury them by the side of his late wife at Lincoln, California.
