H. Caughlin The sudden death of Cornelia J., wife of William H. Caughlin this morning is a verification of the words that “In life we are in the midst of death. She was subject to hemorrhage of the lungs for several years and had a severe attack on last Thursday, but rallied, and was up and about yesterday. This morning, while preparing herself for breakfast, she was again seized with bleeding and in less than ten minutes was numbered with the dead. Mrs. Caughlin, aged about 36 years, with her family, came to Reno from California. She was married to W.H. Caughlin about 14 years ago and they have resided here ever since and had born to them three children the eldest 13 and the youngest six years of age. As a daughter, sister, wife and mother the deceased was ever faithful, and in her demise a light of the household has gone out, the rays of which will ever be missed by the bereaved husband, motherless children and others who were bound to her by natural ties. The funeral will take place from the residence next Monday at 4 o’clock in the afternoon.
