The Last Resting Place
The remains of Grace Ethel Evans were last night conveyed by Undertakers
Cummings & Stockton to Long Valley, where they will be interred at the family
home this morning.
Funeral services were held at the convent building last evening under the
auspices of the Rebekahs and Muccabees, as the deceased was a member of both
these societies.
Grace Evans was born in California and was aged 20 years and five months at the
time of her death, being the daughter of Mrs. James Evans.  She was for a number
of years a student at the State University, where, by reason of her lovable
character and cheerful, bright disposition, she had formed a host of friends,
who deeply sympathize with the bereaved mother and family in their great
affliction.
The hand of Providence is oftimes heavily laid upon us, and it is hard to see
why God should take the light out of a fond mother's life and render what was
once a bright home a house of sorrow and mourning.  In our earthly
shortsightedness we cannot comprehend that He, with allwise mercy, has taken our
loved ones to His eternal home above where peace and joy obtain forever.
