Suicide
A Young Italian Blows his Head off With the Contents of a Shot-Gun
Joe Feretto, an Italian aged about 22 years, suicided at his uncle’s ranch last
evening at 5 o’clock, while laboring under a fit of temporary insanity.  The
young man was in Reno yesterday visiting his friends and went out home on the 2
o’clock local train.  The family, with the exception of the children, were away
from home when Feretto arrived.  He walked into a room where his little niece
was playing and requested her to leave the room.  After she had gone he took a
double barreled shot-gun, placed the muzzle under his ear and fired.  The charge
tore the whole side of his head and face away, producing instant death.  Coroner
Dickens went out this morning and will hold an inquest to-day.
