F. Foster, aged 7 years, died suddenly at 10 o’clock New Year’s night, of thrombus in the pulmonary artery-induced by malarial poison in the blood. The child had been unwell for some time but was able to be around and seemed to getting well, and was bright and cheerful all day, and when Dr. Waggoner called late in the afternoon he found her up counting in German with a younger sister. She exhibited no signs of being more unwell than usual until a few moments before she died. For some time she had been sitting in her mother’s lap hearing her sing, and the mother had just finished singing a familiar song when the little girl looked up with a smile and asked mamma to please sing one more song. Her mother asked what she would like most to hear, and the ready answer was given “I want to be an Angel,” and before the song was half finished the mother noticed a strange, death-like pallor on the child’s face and taking hold of its hands found them cold. Mr. Foster immediately summoned a physician, but before the Dr. reached the house the child was with the angels. The funeral will take place to-day at 11 o’clock from the Congregational Church.
