Some months ago Mr. Fredrick went to San Francisco for medical treatment, but his disease had assumed such a phase that medical skill was of no avail, so he returned home about six weeks ago and composedly resigned himself to the inevitable. Mr. Fredrick engaged in business in Reno over sixteen years ago, and during that time has always been an exemplary, live and progressive citizen, and in his death the town has lost one of its most esteemed and respected merchants, his family, a kind and indulgent husband and father and the people of Reno who enjoyed an intimate acquaintance with a steadfast and true friend. The deceased was 61 years of age, and a native of Germany. The funeral will take place from the family residence on West street Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock, and will be conducted under the auspices of Reno Lodge No. 13, F. & A. M., Nevada Rebekah Degree Lodge No. 7 and Reno Lodge No. 19, I.O.O.F., of which organizations deceased was an honored member Daily Nevada State Journal September 15, 1888 A Good Man Gone Death of Uncle Isaac Fredrick Although his death has been expected from the time the deadly cancer made its appearance months ago, the fact that the end finally came Thursday night, will in nowise lessen the deep sorrow of every friends of Uncle Isaac Fredrick, who came to Reno from Canada sixteen years, and during his residence among us endeared himself to all. He was a model man in every respect. He was a good man in the fullest acceptation of the term. A devoted husband and father, a true friend, an honorable business man and a respected citizen will be the verdict of all who knew him.
