Died
C. C. Gates, a pioneer of Washoe county, died this morning at seven o'clock from
the kick of a horse, which he received several days ago.  Mr. Gates was a
pioneer in the county.  In company with Mr. Stone he built the bridge across the
Truckee at Glendale, which was the first crossing in the county.  The funeral
will take place to-morrow, at 2 P.M., from the Methodist church
