Sparks Resident Taken by Death.

     A resident of Nevada since 1910, Mrs. Lucy C. Gilpin died early this 
morning at the home of her son, James W. Gilpin, in Sparks.
     She was born in Indiana eighty-nine years ago, and had lived in Sparks 
for a quarter of a century.  Besides her son, a stepson, Joseph M. Gilpin, 
and a grandaughter, Mrs. Bessie Joplin survive.
    Funeral services will be held from Ross-Burke home chapel at two 
o'clock Friday afternoon with the Rev. G.A. Trusedale in Charge.  
Interment will be in the Masonic cemetery.
