Reno Evening Gazette April 2, 1981
  Paul L. Flanigan, 80, died Tuesday in a Reno hospital.

  A native and lifetime resident of Reno, he was born Nov. 2, 1900.

  Flanigan was in the livestock business in Western Nevada and Northern 

California.  Following retirement from ranching, he was employed by the city 

of Reno Engineering Department until retiring in 1971.

  Surviving are his widow, Claire and a stepson, James Wittenberg, both of 

Reno; four grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.

  A memorial service is scheduled for 1 p.m. Friday at Our Lady of the Snow 

Catholic Church.

  Cremation was at the Masonic Memorial Gardens Crematorium under the 

direction of Ross, Burke & Knobel Mortuary.
