Death of Mr. Norton



  B.D. Norton, ex-county treasurer, died last night.  For a long time his 

health was very poor.  During the past two weeks he had been confined to bed 

and several days ago all hope of his recovery was given up.  Mr. Norton was a 

native of Otis, Massachusetts, and was but a few days more than forty years of 

age at the time of his death.  He leaves many friends who sincerely mourn his 

taking off, and the bereaved family have the sympathy of the whole community.  

The funeral will take place from his late residence to-morrow afternoon at 2 

o'clock.  Mr. Norton was a Mason and he will be buried according to the rites 

of that order.  Rev. Mr. McKelvey will conduct the religious services at half-

past 1 o'clock.
