Leeper- In Mason Valley, May 30, 1880, Robert Leeper, aged 64 years



Sudden Death of Robert Leeper

  A telegram was received here this morning announcing the death of Robert 

Leeper, in Mason Valley yesterday, but giving no particulars.  The news was a 

terrible shock to his family.  Mr. Leeper leaves a wife and a number of adult 

sons and daughters.  His son James is the youngest of the family.  The 

deceased was a native of Lancaster county, Pennyslvania.  In early life he 

moved to Ohio, thence to Nevada.  He was widely known, and his death will be 

mourned by a large circle of friends.  His remains will be brought to Reno for 

burial.  The funeral is expected to take place to-morrow from the late home of 

the deceased.
