Ah Mun, a Chinaman who has peddled fruits and vegetables at Truckee for twelve years past, was found in his house in Truckee's Chinatown yesterdayn morning dead, and his body badly burnt. The supposition is that he was murdered and robbed, as it was known that he had considerable money in his possession. He was about to leave for a visit to China. His remains were badly mutiliated and then, so it is said, the bed-clothes were saturated with coal oil and set on fire, apparently with the view of cremation. The experiment was only a partial success, however, and the mutilated, half-burnt, ghastly corpse was left to tell the tale and prove the old saying that "murder will out" to be true. His house, closet and bureau were found to have been ransacked and gutted of everything valuable save three dollars. No arrests have been made.
