John M. Hastings.
Recitation of the rosary is scheduled for 7:30pm today at the Walton Funeral 
Home. Reno, for John Michael Hastings, 64, who died Thursday in a Reno Hospital.
   He was born May 11, 1916, in Butte Mont, and was a resident of Reno for 
34 years. A Navy veteran, he was a pit boss at the Comstock Hotel-casino.
    He was a member of the Third Order of St. Francisc, the Sons of Erin and 
Our Lady of the Snows Catholic church.
    Surviving are his widow, {omitted}
    Another daughter, Mary Beth Jelks, died in 1977.
    A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 2 pm Monday at Our 
Lady of the Snows Catholic Church.  Burial will be at the Mountain View 
Cemetery
