Former Sparks Woman is Dead

Word is Received of the Death Yesterday at Los Angeles of Mrs. Mary Hatton
Mrs. Mary E. Hatton died yesterday at Los Angeles.  She was one of the pioneer
residents of Sparks, removing to that city with her husband, Colonel Frank
Hatton, before the railroad had established its shops there.  They lived in
Sparks for about seven years.

The deceased had many warm friends in Sparks and Reno, having been prominent in
social and fraternal events.  She was a member of Martha Chapter, No. 5, Order
of Eastern Star.
