At Rest
After a Long and Painfull Illness- A Brief Biography
Yesterday about noon the spirit of A. S. Hewlett was released from the worn out
body.  He has lived here in Reno for some years and has borne an excellent name.
 He has been sick for a nearly a year and unable to do anything.  He leaves a
wife and two children.  He has a brother in San Francisco who came up last week,
but was called home on account of a case of sickness in his own family.  The
funeral will take place tomorrow at 1 o’clock.  He was born in Courtland county,
NY, and came to California in 1855.  After a year or two’s residence he returned
to New York, where he was married and returned to California, residing at
Petaluma and  Santa Rosa until 1876, when he came to Reno, where he has resided
since.
