Hodgkinson died at 4 o'clock this morning in this city as the result of shock following an operation for a fibroid tumor. The body is at the family residence, No. 650 N. Center street, hence the funeral will take place Thursday afternoon. The deceased is a long-time resident of this city, and numbers among her friends practically all of the older population of Reno. She was married to Mr. Hodgkinson twenty-one years ago yesterday. Three sons survive her, Lawrence, Francis and Samuel J., Jr. Prior to her marriage the deceased was a teacher in the old Bishop Whitaker seminary. She was aged 46 years and 6 months. The Guild, the Twentieth Century Club and all the other organizations for social pleasure and mental uplift to which she belonged, as well as the various fraternal societies of which she was a member, will attend the funeral in a body. The death of Mrs. Hodgkinson is a distinct loss to the entire community.
