Funeral services will be held at the Masonic temple Sunday at 2 o’clock p.m., under the direction of the Reno Lodge, No. 13, F. & A. M. Interment Masonic cemetery. Remains at the parlors of the Perkins-Gulling Co. C.J. Kienast Pioneer of Nevada is Dead C. J. Kienast, a prominent resident of Reno and a Nevada pioneer, passed away suddenly, yesterday morning, at his residence, 643 Nevada street. Mr. Kienast was in his usual health Thursday and attended to his business during the day and accompanied by Mrs. Kienast attended the theater during the evening. On returning to his home he complained of a sharp pain in his side but giving the matter no further attention, retired. An inquest was held yesterday by Coroner Lee Davis, the jury returning a verdict that the deceased had come to his death by acute dilation of the heart which produced valvular trouble. Mr. Kienast was a prominent member of the G.A.R. of this state and was one of the very few surviving members who represented Nevada in the Civil war. He also is a member of Reno lodge of Masons. The funeral services will be held Sunday afternoon at 2 o’clock from the Masonic temple and will be conducted under the auspices of the lodge. Interment will be at Masonic cemetery.
