W. Lee- It will grieve the friends and acquaintances of L. W. Lee to learn that he died at 8:10 last night. Although his death has been expected ever since the apoplectic stroke the announcement is none the less a cause of deep regret to all who knew the man. He was one of Reno’s first settlers, and by his industry and energy established and maintained a lucrative business. He was one of the hardest workers of all the men who ever engaged in business in the town, and by his enterprise, application and frugality made himself one of the solid men of Reno. In his death Reno loses a substantial citizen, and his family an indulgent husband and father. The proper tributes of respect to his memory should be evidence by all. The funeral will probably take place to-morrow. Mr. Lee was born in Genessee county, New York, Jan. 1, 1834. When young he removed to Elkhorn, Walworth county, Wisconsin. In 1860 he crossed the plains and located at Gold Hill, from thence to Long Valley, and from Long Valley to Reno.
