Lewis, whose death has been daily expected for the past two weeks, crossed the dark river this afternoon. Mr. Lewis was one of the first settlers in Reno. He came in 1868, and has lived here ever since that time. He leaves a wife, two grown sons and a daughter. The time for the funeral has not yet been fixed. Deceased was one of the pioneers of this State, and in its early days was prominent in political and business circles, but of late years had passed out of public life. He was an editorial writer of acknowledge ability, and every paper he ever published or edited was eagerly sought after.
