J. MacDonald Dead in South Mining Man Well Known in State Had Left Reno But Short Time Ago T.J. MacDonald, a mining man, well known in Nevada and for years a resident of Reno, died last night at Tonopah, according to a telegram received her this morning. Definite announcement as to funeral arrangements has not been made, but it is understood that services will be held in the southern city. Mr. MacDonald was the father of Mrs. Clarence Whiddett, whose marriage occurred in this city but a few days ago. Mr. and Mrs. MacDonald, immediately after the ceremony, departed for Tonopah, where they intended spending six or eight months. Upon their departure the newly wedded couple took up their residence in the MacDonald home in this city. Mrs. Whiddett has departed for Tonopah. At the time of death Mr. MacDonald's son and two other daughters and his wife were at his beside.
