Mahoney, aged 63, was found dead in the livery stable office of James Poole at Wadsworth on Wednesday morning. An examination showed that death was caused from a gun shot wound about an inch behind the right ear, the bullet passing through the head and coming cut above the left temple. From the appearance of the room and the clean underclothes in which the body was dressed, the act seemed to have been premeditated, and that deceased had prepared himself by taking a bath and changing his clothes. A coroner's jury found a verdict that the deceased had come to his death by his own hand. He was a Mason and Odd Fellow in good standing and the funeral took place under the auspices of these orders. No cause is given for the act. File at: http://files.usgwarchives.net/nv/washoe/obits/mahoney659gob.txt This file has been created by a form at http://www.genrecords.org/nvfiles/ File size: 1.4 Kb
